Colleen believes life's challenges offer us the greatest opportunities. Pain, as unfortunate as it may sound, is a great motivator and Colleen loves to guide clients on their journey towards experiencing the JOY of movement. She can adapt her teaching to the most therapeutic of needs or to the most elite of athletes/dancers to help her students reach their individual goals. Her specialty is teaching therapeutic exercise and restorative movement that takes students on a journey through their body where they become knowledgable and empowered to make deep changes in their movement, sports/activities, and overall well-being.

Colleen has been teaching in the dance, exercise, and Pilates industry since 1997 and was first introduced to the Gyrotonic method by her long-time Pilates Master Trainer Barbara Huttner in 2002. Colleen immediately saw how the work revealed movement imbalances and compensations that she had been dealing with as a dancer and athlete. She has studied and taught many movement modalities over her years of teaching, but is most focused on teaching concepts of healthy movement via the Gyrotonic method, as it is highly adaptable to the individual needs of her students. The equipment provides a support system like no other and ultimately students can move sans equipment in ways they never thought possible.

Currently when not teaching or immersing herself in movement education courses, Colleen continues to dance as well as enjoy a variety of mountain sports including nordic/skate skiing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and climbing. Colleen and her husband Cody also own the Teton Pines Nordic Ski Center in Jackson Hole where she teaches cross country skiing (both classic and skate).
